FORT GRATIOT- St. Clair County authorities have arraigned two men, 19-year-old Armani Greathouse and 20-year-old Jaydon Comstock, following a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts in Fort Gratiot Township.

St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies had been actively searching for suspects connected to multiple reports of vehicle thefts in the Old Farms subdivision when they located an unoccupied suspect vehicle near the intersection of Capital Avenue and State Road around 1:00 a.m. on May 1, 2026.

Shortly afterward, deputies spotted Greathouse and Comstock walking nearby. According to investigators, the pair refused commands to stop but were detained after a brief encounter.

Deputies reportedly recovered a ski mask, cash, a Bridge Card, and prescription medication belonging to other individuals.

Port Huron police later confirmed the two men matched descriptions provided in the original emergency calls. They were subsequently transported to the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center.

During their arraignment on May 7, 2026, both men were charged with multiple felonies, including one count of breaking and entering a vehicle to steal property valued over $1,000, one count of unlawful driving away of an automobile, and two counts of stealing a financial transaction device without consent.

Additionally, both suspects face one count of resisting and obstructing a police officer along with seven other related charges.

Greathouse and Comstock remain in custody with bonds set at $75,000 each as the judicial process moves forward.
