"Just Shoot Me": Neighbors Recall Chaos Before Fraser Police Fatally Shot Teen

FRASER, Mich. — A 15-year-old boy is dead following an officer-involved shooting during a domestic dispute call on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on May 30, 2026, in the 17000 block of Breezeway Street, near 13 Mile and Kelly roads. According to the Fraser Department of Public Safety, officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence. During the encounter, an officer discharged their weapon, striking the teenager.

Responding officers rendered life-saving aid before the youth was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. No officers were injured in the incident.

Neighbors reported hearing a chaotic confrontation prior to the gunfire. One witness stated they heard someone repeatedly yell "Just shoot me" before shots rang out. Neighbors also noted that police had been called to the home multiple times in recent months regarding the teen.

Per department protocol, the involved officer has been placed on administrative duty. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the independent investigation into the shooting. Officials have not yet confirmed if the teen was armed at the time of the shooting.
